About The Position

The Key Holder promotes store sales through suggestive selling, product knowledge, and exceptional customer service. The role also helps maintain inventory stock levels, performs housekeeping duties, and assists with executing merchandising strategies. The position requires following company procedures and safety, sanitation, and quality guidelines; maintaining a professional brand image; processing customer transactions and handling cash properly; and pursuing community business-to-business sales opportunities. The role may involve working in a cooler or freezer environment and requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays if needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Retail experience providing exceptional customer service and performing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is preferred for top candidates.
Knowledge of customer and personal service principles, including assessing customer needs, meeting service quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and methods, including product promotion and demonstration, sales techniques, marketing strategy, and sales control systems.
Knowledge of English language structure and content, including vocabulary, spelling, composition, and grammar.
Service orientation and active listening skills.
Speaking and reading comprehension skills.
Active learning and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to understand spoken information and communicate ideas orally so others understand.

Responsibilities

Drive store sales by following sales guidelines and procedures, including sampling and selling products with passion and enthusiasm while providing exceptional customer service.
Maintain product knowledge and stay informed about changes in the product assortment.
Assist with floor sets, pricing, signage, promotional activities, and other merchandising strategies according to company directives.
Participate in managing store inventory and expense items, including minimizing product waste.
Follow established policies, practices, and procedures, including quality, sanitation, and safety guidelines; comply with federal, state, and local laws; and help maintain a safe work environment.
Foster the brand image and reputation through personal presentation and attitude.
Process customer transactions using the POS system, actively sell add-ons at the cash wrap, and follow excellent selling procedures.
Follow proper cash-handling, dress-code, and sanitation procedures, including hand washing.
Pursue business-to-business sales opportunities in the community according to established procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
