Part Time Key Holder - Cotton On Valley Fair Mall
About The Position
Cotton On is hiring a part-time Key Holder at Valley Fair Mall. The role supports store management and daily operations, including opening and closing the store, leading team members, serving customers, processing sales, maintaining inventory and merchandising, and upholding cleanliness, safety, and loss-prevention practices. The Key Holder should communicate and collaborate professionally, help train and mentor associates, and motivate the team toward shared goals. Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of retail sales experience.
- At least 1 year of acting retail leadership or management experience involving leadership of business activities and team-member development.
- Experience in retail.
- Ability to collaborate to drive results as a team.
- Awareness and understanding of basic retail principles, including sales, stock, and service delivery in stores.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Solid communication, customer-service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to move around the store throughout the shift or workday.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to squat or kneel regularly.
- Ability to safely use a ladder, step stool, or raised platform regularly.

Responsibilities
- Open and close the store in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Lead the store team as part of management.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer issues.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory control, restocking, and merchandising.
- Ensure store cleanliness and safety standards are upheld.
- Support loss-prevention efforts and report unusual activity.
- Engage professionally and respectfully with store teams and customers.
- Train and mentor new associates as needed.

- Maintain a professional presence and motivate and inspire others.
- Act respectfully toward customers, managers, and peers.
