About The Position

Key Holders engage with customers, create an exceptional in-store experience, and provide leadership and support to store partners. They represent Boot Barn's Mission, Vision, and Values while demonstrating selling and service expertise, product knowledge, visual merchandising skills, and point-of-sale proficiency. They partner with the leadership team to drive store sales, develop the team, and carry out assigned operational procedures. The role includes opening and closing duties and may require travel to support local stores.

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of retail sales experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Scheduling flexibility and willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
• Ability to travel up to 10% to support local stores, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Foster a service and selling culture, exceed customer expectations, and build long-standing customer relationships.
• Develop expertise in product categories and communicate product features, benefits, and knowledge to customers.
• Maintain and achieve measurable goals, including units per transaction, average dollar per transaction, item add-ons, and customer information capture rates.
• Stay informed about current merchandise promotions and advertisements.
• Maintain company merchandising standards and assist with floor moves, display maintenance, merchandising, sales set-up, and store housekeeping.
• Assist with processing merchandise and monitoring and replenishing floor stock.
• Complete sales transactions accurately and efficiently and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers.
• Partner with the store leadership team to develop skills and improve performance metrics.
• Complete opening and closing procedures to company standards and comply with the company's Time and Attendance policy and procedures.
• Follow and enforce applicable local, federal, and state laws, as well as company policies, procedures, and practices.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
• Demonstrate high-quality work, reliable attendance, and appropriate appearance.
