About The Position

The Business Development / Key Account Manager – Mining is a senior individual contributor responsible for leading Xylem’s strategy and relationships with a select portfolio of strategic mining customers. The role focuses on growing Xylem’s business within a small number of priority accounts by creating a differentiated, high-touch customer experience and making it easier for customers to work with Xylem. The manager develops an in-depth understanding of each customer’s operations, priorities, challenges, stakeholders, projects, and long-term plans, and serves as the primary connection between the customer and Xylem. Working alongside a small, dedicated account team, the manager coordinates internal resources to respond to customer needs effectively. The role leads through influence rather than traditional people-management authority, aligning cross-functional teams around customer priorities and ensuring commitments are followed through. It also identifies opportunities to expand Xylem’s presence across customer sites, applications, projects, and operations, with a stated goal of increasing Xylem’s share of business by $10M or more within existing strategic accounts.
