On July 1, 2025, IPL Plastics merged with Schoeller Allibert to form IPL Schoeller (the ‘company’). The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing and growing IPL Schoeller’s Large Format Packaging business with major Consumer Products companies across Canada. This role drives profitable growth, builds strong customer partnerships, executes strategic account plans, and delivers a best-in-class customer experience. The ideal candidate brings experience supporting CPG or packaging customers, strong commercial fundamentals, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, sales, or commercial roles supporting large CPG customers.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess sales trends, pricing, and margins.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP and CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, packaging, or other product-based industries preferred.
  • IFS experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary commercial contact for assigned accounts, delivering proactive, high-touch service.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement, packaging, and supply chain stakeholders.
  • Lead customer-facing activities including business reviews, pricing discussions, and new product development.
  • Monitor customer scorecards, OTIF performance, and compliance requirements; drive internal service improvements.
  • Develop and execute annual strategic account plans aligned with IPL Schoeller’s Large Format Packaging strategy.
  • Identify and secure growth opportunities within existing and new accounts.
  • Manage customer forecasts, demand trends, and sales pipelines in collaboration with Sales Operations, Customer Service, and Supply Chain.
  • Support pricing strategy through quote development, margin analysis, and execution of approved price actions.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service to ensure customer requirements are executed.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives for new product launches, engineering changes, and packaging updates.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and executive reporting processes in partnership with the Senior Sales Director.
  • Use ERP and CRM systems to manage opportunities, quotes, and performance reporting.
  • Track customer KPIs, market trends, and competitive activity to support strategic recommendations.
  • Lead issue resolution and contribute to continuous improvement and profitability initiatives.
