About The Position

Barkaritaville Pet Resort is hiring full-time and part-time Kennel Attendants to care for dogs staying at its Corpus Christi facility. The role focuses on pets’ comfort, cleanliness, safety, and happiness while helping maintain a clean, organized environment. Attendants work with dogs of different sizes and personalities and may assist with customer-facing tasks and pet records.

The position is physically active and involves bending, lifting, walking, and being on your feet for most of a shift. Work takes place indoors and outdoors in varying weather, including heat, humidity, and rain. Weekend and holiday availability is required, including at least alternating weekends and holidays. The resort offers on-the-job training in canine body language, safety, and behavior, as well as opportunities to earn Pet First Aid and CPR certifications.

• Previous pet care, hospitality, or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Feed, walk, and bathe pets.
• Monitor pets’ behavior and report concerns.
• Clean and sanitize suites, yards, and common areas.
• Scoop waste, mop, vacuum, and do laundry.
• Assist with pet check-ins and check-outs.
• Occasionally give facility tours and update pet records in the facility’s system.
