Requirements
- Genuine love and enthusiasm for working with dogs of all breeds and sizes
- Ability to stand, walk, and be physically active for extended periods throughout the shift
- Previous experience working with animals in a kennel, veterinary, or pet care setting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow animal care protocols and safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Excellent communication skills and a team-player attitude
- Comfortable handling large, energetic, or multiple dogs simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor dogs during group play sessions to ensure safety and positive interactions
- Clean and sanitize kennel areas, play yards, and common spaces to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Feed, water, and provide basic care for dogs in accordance with owner instructions
- Assist with dog check-in and check-out procedures, verifying vaccination records and owner information
- Identify and report any signs of illness, injury, or behavioral concerns to management
- Provide attentive, compassionate care to all dogs, ensuring their comfort and well-being
- Communicate professionally with pet owners regarding their dog's stay and daily activities
