Junior Specialist, Administration, Indigenous Pathways Program (Hybrid/Telework))
About The Position
Indigenous Pathways is a paid, full-time, 9-month learning and development opportunity designed to support First Nations, Inuit, or Métis individuals in honing their professional skills at CBC. The program provides training within an all-Indigenous cohort, personalized career development, and hands-on work experience. No prior media production education or job experience is required to apply. The current program runs from October 2026 through June 2027. One candidate will be selected to work with each of this year’s host teams. The position is based in Toronto with the Business and Rights team. Business & Rights works closely with programming areas drafting production contracts, negotiating rights and maintaining relationships with both internal clients, and external partners. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in learning more about the business side of the media production industry. This is a full-time role utilizing a hybrid work model, allowing for both home and in-office collaboration as required. Please note that relocation costs are not covered.

- Have a deep interest in digital and video storytelling.
- Are passionate about music, arts, and culture within your community or beyond.
- Are eager to gain practical, hands-on experience at CBC.
- Are a critical thinker who demonstrates strong ethics and integrity.
- Are a collaborative communicator and team player.
- Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
- A mandatory Criminal record check.
- Other background checks may be conducted based on the operational requirements of the position.
