The Indigenous Pathways program is a paid, full-time, 9-month learning and development opportunity designed to support First Nations, Inuit, or Métis individuals in honing their professional skills at CBC. The program provides training within an all-Indigenous cohort, personalized career development, and hands-on work experience. No prior journalism or media production education or job experience is required to apply. The current program runs from October 2026 through June 2027. This year, the CBC Docs digital team is delighted to host a Pathways participant. This team is responsible for how all of our commissioned documentaries show up on the web, social, YouTube and CBC Gem. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in documentary storytelling to work on a wide range of content and gain a better understanding of how films reach audiences. This is a full-time role based in Toronto with a hybrid work model, allowing for both home and in-office collaboration as required. Please note that relocation costs are not covered.
