Requirements

  • Completion of a college-level program (e.g., DEC, technical school diploma, community college diploma) or equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years’ experience performing similar or related duties.
  • English (Reading - B - Intermediate), English (Speaking - B - Intermediate), English (Writing - B - Intermediate)
  • French (Reading - C - Advanced), French (Speaking - C - Advanced), French (Writing - C - Advanced)

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and report on the Corporation’s administrative posture and available options to assess compliance with departmental strategies, support decision-making and facilitate long-term planning.
  • Interpret administrative standards, policies and procedures governing the management of budgets, insurance policies, leases, productivity, acquisitions, sales and other business matters to resolve data processing and analysis issues.
  • Monitor changes in contracts, cost estimates and market trends; provide commentary on performance and services rendered; and generate ad-hoc or periodic reports tracking the Corporation’s progress against management strategies (by identifying gaps or alternatives, modelling scenarios, advising managers on timeline development or adjustments, etc.).
  • Negotiate select service contracts and leases within established parameters to provide key administrative support for departmental activities; proactively initiate more significant negotiations by gathering requests, comparative data, reports and necessary documentation; highlight market trends, industry standards and related practices to inform the negotiation process.
  • Complete the appropriate forms and documents; prepare the necessary correspondence and reports based on available information, following up as required.
  • Familiarize other people with their job by explaining your own duties.
