About The Position

Corbion is seeking a Junior Cost Accountant responsible for analyzing process order cost variances, generating weekly plant activity reports, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of process orders. This role involves reviewing process orders, analyzing inventory movements, verifying corrective actions, and recommending master data changes and process improvements based on variance analysis. The Junior Cost Accountant will also audit BOM and recipe master data, assist in reviewing the annual production volume budget, and support Continuous Improvement (CI) activities by reporting internal plant activities. Ad-hoc reporting and a commitment to safety are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent applicable experience
  • Experience with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); SAP and Excel
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies, maintain ethical standards and confidentiality
  • Experience using basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in various units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals)
  • Detail-oriented, prioritizes and plans work, completes work on time and accurately with follow-through
  • Experience working cooperatively with others or independently. Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills and professionalism
  • Proven background of taking initiative in performing job duties and seeking increased responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Review process orders for completeness and accuracy.
  • Analyze and monitor inventory movements.
  • Verify corrective actions on process orders.
  • Recommend master data changes based on process order variance analysis.
  • Audit BOM and recipe master data.
  • Recommend process improvements based on the review of process order variances.
  • Identify inventory movement errors and suggest corrective actions.
  • Assist in reviewing the annual production volume budget.
  • Support Continuous Improvement (CI) activities by reporting internal plant activities reports.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting as needed.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety, both personal and of colleagues.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Controller, Operations Controller.
