About The Position

Under the direction of the Parks and Recreation Administrative Officer, the Junior Administrative Officer serves as an entry-level administrative professional providing administrative and clerical support to all divisions and day-to-day operations. Duties include a full range of administrative and clerical tasks, including customer service for Parks and Recreation patrons, cash management, financial record keeping, payroll and accounts processing, time administration, and other special projects as required. Responsible for creating and maintaining general administrative files. Populates, tracks, and files utility invoices. Support procurement processes. Responsible for records retention and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for the Parks and Recreation Department. Assist managers in the hiring process. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent and four (4) years of experience in the field related to the position.
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline and two (2) years of experience in the field related to the position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline and experience in the field related to the position.
  • Must be legally authorized to work and accept employment in the United States.
  • Satisfactory background check (criminal, education, and employment history).
