About The Position

Frontage Laboratories Inc. is an award winning, publicly listed, full-service CRO/Contract Research Organization operating over 25 state-of-the-art laboratories across the US, Canada, and China, growing significant YoY growth. Our core competencies include pre-clinical, drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), safety and toxicology, bioanalytical services, chemistry and manufacturing controls for drug development, and core laboratory services for clinical trials. We are seeking a highly-motivated, detail-oriented team member to support our Clinical Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, maintaining accounting book and other finance-related data, financial reporting, ensuring accuracy of the financial data and reports for the site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or similar degree or certification.
  • 3–5-years of accounting experience especially bookkeeping and assisting with month end close and financial reporting.
  • Solid accounting knowledge and an understanding of accounting best practices, knowledge of U.S. GAAP or IFRS desirable but not essential.
  • Strong experience in using Microsoft Excel and other MS software.
  • Proactive approach, a sense of urgency and can produce quality work products.
  • Detail and process-oriented, self-starter and seamless multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize and simultaneously manage multiple projects while being able to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people skills – a relationship builder and work effectively with the site leaders and corporate finance and other teams.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to contribute to a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Oracle or NetSuite financial system preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable for the Clinical Services site
  • AP – ensuring all the vendors are paid on time
  • AR – ensuring all Receivables are followed up and collected on time
  • Bank and credit card reconciliation
  • Assist in preparing invoices for clinical studies
  • Maintaining revenue recognition tracker so able to project monthly revenue/expenses
  • Assist with Payroll process and entry, if required
  • Assists in month-end closing and reporting
  • Liaise with internal or external accountants in preparation for tax returns
  • Other accounting tasks as assigned
