About The Position

Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking a Junior Implementation Specialist to join its Flight Planning Implementation team. The role helps airline and business aviation customers onboard and migrate to the company’s flight-planning and dispatch software. It is an entry-level position suited to a recent college or aviation school graduate interested in aviation and technology. Working alongside experienced Implementation Specialists, the employee initially supports configuration, testing, and training on live implementation and migration projects. As product and domain knowledge grows, the employee takes ownership of smaller implementations and discrete workstreams. The position is hybrid and based in the Denver, Colorado office, with occasional customer-site travel as needed.

Requirements

  • Recently completed a bachelor’s degree, aviation school program, or comparable technical program, or have equivalent practical experience.
  • Expected 0–2 years of professional experience.
  • Genuine passion for aviation and information technology and a strong desire to build a career across both.
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn software configuration, diagnose flight-planning output issues, and distinguish software defects from configuration or third-party data problems.
  • Strong AI skills or demonstrated ability to learn AI-powered tools quickly, with enthusiasm for applying them to implementation work.
  • Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting skills, and technical aptitude to learn and configure software without a traditional software engineering background.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfort presenting to and training customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and prioritize with support from senior team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Aviation knowledge, such as private pilot ground school, aviation degree coursework, flight dispatch familiarity, or airline/general aviation operations exposure, or a genuine desire to build it.
  • Current or former pilot experience, or progress toward a dispatcher certificate or license from a regional governmental aviation authority.
  • Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, software migrations.
  • Understanding of, or desire to learn, system integrations and network concepts.
  • Willingness to learn to digitally track project work.
  • Comfort working across time zones with international customers.

Responsibilities

  • Support customer migrations from legacy flight-planning platforms and assist with new customer implementations across service tiers, progressing toward independently owning smaller projects.
  • Assist with migrating customer configuration data and operational parameters, and help define minimum output and reporting requirements with customers under senior specialists’ guidance.
  • Assist with configuring customer-specific environments and direct-connect integrations with third-party systems, including scheduling, departure control, maintenance, EFB, and post-flight analysis systems.
  • Help coordinate cross-platform migration cases that overlap with active implementations, partnering with senior specialists and internal support teams.
  • Support migrations between related tracking and fleet-management products.
  • Help triage reported issues as software defects, configuration changes, or third-party integration issues.
  • Shadow senior specialists on live projects and customer-facing training, progressively taking on ownership of timelines, milestones, deliverables, and training delivery.
  • Assist with test-and-evaluation-to-production transitions, including customer validation testing.
  • Use AI-powered tools to accelerate configuration, documentation, and troubleshooting, and help the broader team adopt them.
  • Travel to customer sites on occasion as needed.

Benefits

  • Open PTO policy.
  • 401(k) with up to 10% company matching and immediate vesting.
  • 12 weeks of paid maternity leave.
