About The Position

Simon & Schuster Audio is hiring multiple Junior Associate Producers to support S&S Maverick Audio in all aspects of audiobook production. The role assists with preparing recording sessions, reviewing scripts, researching and checking pronunciations, and coordinating authors, actors, and freelance production staff. Junior Associate Producers support senior staff throughout pre-production and recording, as well as post-production. The position also involves casting, manuscript coordination, credits, schedule management, post-production file management, and deadline tracking. Candidates should have excellent writing and communication skills, a love of books and audio, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a hybrid role based out of New York City.

Requirements

• College degree.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers, including Macs and PCs, database programs, Excel, Acrobat, and file formatting.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and a careful and thorough reader.
• Able to maintain exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Love of books and audio.

Nice To Haves

• Administrative experience in publishing and/or creative production.
• Technical familiarity with audio file formats.

Responsibilities
