Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Kentucky Journeyman HVAC License required.
  • Universal EPA Certification required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • 4–10 years of commercial HVAC service experience required.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in HVAC troubleshooting, technical diagnostics, and repair.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks within critical deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain accurate service documentation and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and management.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with all applicable company policies and industry regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial refrigeration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine maintenance, service, and repairs on heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
  • Install new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications.
  • Utilizes mechanical and electrical skills to test and properly diagnose HVAC unit faults & proper repairs
  • Ensures all work sites are safe & properly cleaned at end of shift.
  • Knowledge on a variety of commercial HVAC equipment preferred, including but not limited to split systems, package units, chilled water systems, boilers and DDC controls.
  • Ensures work performed is in compliance with all State, Local and Federal requirements and operates on the job with the highest of ethics.
  • Adheres to and ensures staff and subcontractors adhere to company, customer, and state/federal safety standards.
  • Assists with afterhours service calls or projects if needed, to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Takes part in on-call rotation.
  • Gathers material/equipment pricing from vendors as needed to expedite quoting process & prioritize customer needs
  • Assists with other needs as determined by managers, to ensure success of group & prioritize customer satisfaction/growth
