About The Position
WQS Industrial Services Ltd. (WQS IND) is recruiting Journeyman & Apprentice Ironworkers for Rope Access and Ground scopes for the current Turnaround season in Fort McMurray, AB. This role involves working a schedule of 6 days on, 1 day off, with 12-hour days. The anticipated turnaround duration is from August 2026 to October 2026, with a possibility of extension. WQS IND is also offering a chance to win a brand-new car to an eligible employee who completes their turnaround assignment.
Requirements
- Registered Apprentice or Journeyman Red Seal Ironworker Certification required.
- Must be Fit for Duty at all times.
- Ability to comply with Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace (alcohol and drug testing).
Nice To Haves
- Rope Access IRATA Level 1, 2 or 3 Certification.
- Valid driver's license with a 3-year driver abstract.
- Common Safety Orientation Certification.
- Confined Space Certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform rope access and ground work as an Ironworker.
