About The Position

E&M Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman A/V Technician to support the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) at Peterson SFB, Colorado. The role supports USSOCOM’s mission through the operation and maintenance of audiovisual and video teleconferencing systems. The technician needs strong problem-solving and customer-service skills and thorough knowledge of AV/VTC hardware, software, and network connections. The position includes scheduling VTC sessions, troubleshooting interoperability between bridges and endpoints, and setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting audiovisual equipment such as displays, microphones, and sound boards. The role is full-time, requires U.S. citizenship, and requires a Top Secret clearance with eligibility for additional caveats. No travel is required. Salary is up to $70,000 USD.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship.
Top Secret clearance with eligibility for additional caveats.
Excellent problem-solving and customer-service skills.
Thorough knowledge of AV/VTC hardware, software, and network connections.
Expertise scheduling VTC sessions in VTC bridges.
Hands-on experience debugging interoperability between VTC bridges and endpoints.
Experience setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting AV equipment.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, manage, maintain, operate, and defend common-area VTC equipment, including daily setup, scheduling, and monitoring.
Schedule, coordinate, and administer multiple simultaneous VTC sessions.
Provide dedicated support for VTCs attended by Very Important Persons (VIPs).
Recommend upgrades to VTC systems.
Provide version control and provisioning for VTC CODECs through a Telepresence Management Suite (TMS).
Install flat-panel displays, room-based VTC endpoints, projectors, and other A/V equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues down to the equipment level (black box).
Manage, maintain, and post a daily MSL and shift-change procedures.
Schedule, configure, and connect users to DISA GVS and DVS conferences.
Train designated personnel to operate VTC equipment.
