About The Position

E&M Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman A/V Technician to support the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) at Peterson SFB, Colorado. The position requires strong problem-solving and customer service skills, along with thorough knowledge of audiovisual and video teleconferencing hardware, software, and network connections. The technician installs, operates, maintains, and troubleshoots A/V and VTC systems, including scheduling and supporting conferences and providing dedicated support for sessions attended by VIPs.

Requirements

United States citizenship.
Top Secret clearance with eligibility for additional caveats.
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
Thorough knowledge of A/V and VTC hardware, software, and network connections.
Expertise scheduling VTC sessions in VTC bridges.
Hands-on experience debugging interoperability between VTC bridges and endpoints.
Experience setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting A/V equipment such as displays, microphones, and sound boards.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, manage, maintain, operate, and defend common-area VTC equipment, including daily setup, scheduling, and monitoring.
Schedule, coordinate, and administer multiple simultaneous VTC sessions.
Provide dedicated support to VTCs attended by Very Important Persons (VIPs).
Recommend upgrades to VTC systems.
Provide version control and provisioning for VTC CODECs through a Telepresence Management Suite (TMS).
Install flat-panel displays, room-based VTC endpoints, projectors, and A/V equipment.
Resolve issues down to the equipment level (black box).
Manage, maintain, and post a daily MSL and shift-change procedures.
Schedule, configure, and connect users to DISA GVS and DVS conferences.
Train designated personnel on operating VTC equipment.
