Jockey Driver
About The Position
The Jockey Driver supports daily warehouse and yard operations by moving and positioning trailers between designated yard and dock locations. The role requires safe trailer maneuvering in tight spaces, coordination with warehouse staff and management, and maintaining an organized, efficient yard. The driver also inspects equipment, reports maintenance or safety concerns, follows company operating procedures, and assists with other yard duties as needed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 6:50 AM and continuing until finished. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour. The position is located in Garden City, Georgia.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and any required qualifications for operating assigned equipment.
- Ability to maneuver trailers safely in tight spaces.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Previous jockey truck, yard driver, or hostler experience.
