About The Position

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Job Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for custom metal fabrication projects. The role requires a strong understanding of custom metal fabrication, the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and the preparation of detailed project cost estimates. Compensation is based on experience.

Requirements

• Experience in metal fabrication estimating or a related field.
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and labor requirements.
• Strong mathematical and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and project specifications.
• Review project requirements and determine the scope of work.
• Calculate material, labor, fabrication, and other associated project costs.
• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for custom metal fabrication projects.
• Identify potential discrepancies or missing information in project drawings.
• Work with the team to ensure estimates accurately reflect project requirements and production capabilities.
