Estimator

Oeler Industries•Pittsburgh, PA

About The Position

Oeler Industries, Inc. is hiring a full-time Estimator for commercial and industrial projects. The role turns construction drawings and specifications into accurate quantities and labor-day estimates for acoustic panels, wall and ceiling areas, sound masking zones, and other acoustic scopes. The Estimator reviews the full project specification to identify and price every acoustic scope, rather than only the section initially invited for bid. The position owns quantities and labor days but does not set prices, sell, or manage installations. Most of the work involves digital takeoffs, with additional responsibilities for bid intake, field measurements and site visits, and estimate handoffs and follow-through. Estimates are expected within two days of assignment. The Estimator logs invitations to bid in HubSpot, makes and documents bid/no-bid decisions, measures existing rooms and verifies jobsite conditions around Pittsburgh, prepares bills of materials and estimate packages, and reviews estimates against actual results on completed jobs. This position reports to the COO. The role is based in Pittsburgh and is hybrid, with regional jobsite visits. The base salary is $60,000, with a quarterly performance bonus based on estimate accuracy, turnaround, and bid coverage. Performance is tracked on a weekly scorecard, and the Estimator meets with the COO quarterly. Finalists complete a short takeoff exercise using one of the company's drawing sets.
