Requirements
- Availability to work rotating shifts, days, swings, graveyard, weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Candidates 21 years of age or older
- Candidates with a high school diploma or GED
- Candidates that speak multiple languages
- A valid Utah Driver's License
Responsibilities
- Work closely with youth ordered into the care and custody of JJYS
- Monitor visitors and residents within the facility
- Schedule and coordinate activities for the youth
- Assist Supervisors with perimeter checks
- Resolve potentially dangerous situations to ensure the safety of staff, youth and or the public by applying appropriate intervention techniques to people, facilities and property
- Transport Youth
- Multi-tasking: Answering phones, scheduling visits, working the Control Board which opens doors for staff.
- Communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely in writing (read and understand information presented in writing)
