About The Position

The SPY-6 Capabilities Integrated Product Team is seeking a driven and talented individual contributor to serve as a Jira Administrator and process engineer for the SPY-6 Family of Radars. This role involves collaborating closely with the SPY-6 program to develop and implement Jira solutions and document program processes and procedures. The objective is to work with various stakeholders to identify and establish solutions that function effectively for both planning and development initiatives. The Department’s mission is to provide world-class Radar Capabilities for military systems deployed at sea and on land. Our teams employ an Agile Scrum process to rapidly design, code, integrate, and test capabilities continuously into a mature solution for our customers. This position is full-time and on-site in Marlborough, Massachusetts.

Requirements

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Jira Administrator experience in configuring workflows, permissions and issue types to meet specific project requirements.
Experience with Jira automation features, including scripting languages like Groovy (for ScriptRunner) or JavaScript.
Experience with Jira Dashboards and Structure plugin.
Experience with Agile and Scrum principles to support workflows and team processes in Jira.
The ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret U.S. Government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

Managing user accounts and permissions, including handling onboarding and offboarding to EIM/AD groups.
Ensuring alignment and standardization across all Jira projects, both unclassified and on the Information System (IS).
Performing regular system maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
Providing direct user support, answering questions, resolving issues, and offering training as needed or requested.
Designing, implementing, and maintaining workflows, permissions, and project structures to meet SPY-6 specific requirements.
Managing integrations with other tools, such as Confluence, GitLab, and others.
Implementing necessary customizations and addressing enhancement requests to improve system functionality, including the use of plugins like Structure, Project Configurator, ScriptRunner, and JSU Automation.
Creating and maintaining dashboards, reports, and queries to meet reporting needs, gather metrics, and provide actionable insights.
Facilitating data transfers to and from Information Systems (ISs).
Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and user guides.
Monitoring system performance and usage to proactively address potential issues.
Creating and maintaining scripts to automate processes or enhance functionality where needed.
Refactoring current implementations that do not adhere to development best practices, when approved.
