About The Position

Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC), Surface Radars and Sensors Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Systems Engineering Associate Director, where you will apply your experience and technical expertise in support of the SPY-6 Deployment Integrated Product Team (IPT) as one of the senior engineering representatives. You will lead activities to include staffing, team technical growth, Raytheon Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) application, Center level proposal support, and support to monthly program tracking. Programmatically the SPY-6 SE&TC Lead is accountable to the Deployment IPT Lead. In addition, the selected candidate will be the Staff Lead for the department, responsible for functional leadership of senior department members.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with Sensors and/or Radars.
  • Experience with systems engineering, system integration, system requirements, system verification, system test, validation, and/or integrated logistics.
  • Experience with technical and/or functional leadership.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading program initiatives, developing talent, driving performance, and change management.
  • Competitive Capture Volume lead or proposal lead.
  • Experience with EVMS (Earned Value Management Value System).
  • Experience with DoD or similar major programs throughout the product lifecycle
  • Demonstrated IPT Leadership / program management experience / business experience
  • Experience with Cost Account Management (CAM), Integrated Master Plan (IMP)/ Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management, and/or bids/proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the staffing and team development of personnel assigned to the SPY-6 Deployment Team, determining the allocation of personnel within the team to perform that work, and process improvement efforts.
  • Staff Lead for the department, responsible for functional leadership of senior department members
  • Identification, establishment and implementation of the best practices, lessons learned and consistency across the Systems Engineering teams.
  • Implementation of applicable phases of the Raytheon Lifecycle Program Management process for the SPY-6 Deployment IPT.
  • Supporting SPY-6 growth through proposal development and the deployment and continual improvement of people, processes and tools.
  • Performing special projects as assigned by the Deployment IPT Lead.
  • Interaction with Program Managers, Business Development, Center Managers, and Business Area VPs to achieve Business objectives.
  • Responsible for Interface and Coordination with Internal and External Organizations on SPY-6 integration and test planning, coordination, execution, reporting activities, and Integrated Logistics Support.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper test site support is provided to SPY-6 Near Field, Far Field, Test Site and Shipyard locations.
