JFFC - JFFC Rec Aid Part Time
About The Position
The JFFC Rec Aid performs assigned duties in the Fitness/Wellness area and reports to the Fitness/Wellness Manager or the supervisor on duty. The role supports daily facility operations, patron safety, fitness orientations, and cleaning and upkeep of the wellness area and its equipment. Additional duties may be assigned by the manager or supervisor on duty. The position is performed indoors. It requires full use of auditory and visual capacities, extended periods of standing and other physical activities, use of hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, and the ability to continually lift 50 pounds or more. The City of Lebanon states that its JFFC Director assesses and provides reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities, subject to undue-hardship and safety considerations.
Requirements
- At least an 8th-grade education.
- Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including continually lifting 50 pounds or more and standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, and balancing for extended periods.
- Full use of auditory and visual capacities and hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience in fitness-related work is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily supervision of facility patrons and enforce facility rules and regulations to ensure their safety.
- Ensure patrons follow rules specific to the fitness/wellness room.
- Launder, store, and stock cleaning supplies for the wellness room.
- Clean and maintain fitness and cardio equipment daily.
- Clean and maintain non-fitness equipment and surfaces in the wellness area, including windows, mirrors, and floors.
- Conduct fitness orientations for members and non-members.
- Perform other assigned duties, which may include equipment maintenance, facility tours, cleaning, and rule enforcement.
- Respond to citizen complaints or inquiries regarding facility operations and programs.
