About The Position

Fred Meyer Jewelers sales professionals create an approachable, special, and lasting fine-jewelry experience that helps customers celebrate meaningful moments. They engage customers to make products relevant, exciting, and accessible, and achieve personal sales targets while contributing to an uplifting shopping experience. Training is provided in sales techniques, product knowledge, and skills. The role requires demonstrating the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of self and others.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 18 years of age.
Commitment to excellence, desire to grow, and ability to provide a refreshing shopping experience.
Goal-oriented, sales-driven, and passionate about succeeding.
Ability to pass a drug test.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Model Customer 1st behavior and deliver and encourage excellent customer service.
Achieve personal sales targets, including targets for credit applications and protection-plan attachment rates.
Promote Diamond Parties and special events to customers.
Work with teammates toward store goals and support a positive, collaborative atmosphere.
Build lasting emotional connections with customers through clienteling.
Present merchandise and explain product knowledge, features, and benefits.
Advise customers on jewelry and gem quality, cuts, and value, and help select mountings or settings.
Attend required monthly meetings.
Operate the point-of-sale system, accept payments, and obtain credit authorization.
Inspect and clean customers’ jewelry.
Provide estimates for jewelry and watch repairs.
Replace watch batteries and adjust watch bands.
Follow receiving and processing procedures.
Display merchandise and promotional materials according to corporate merchandising plans.
Perform opening and closing procedures as outlined in the Policy and Procedures Guide.
Perform basic housekeeping, including vacuuming, cleaning display surfaces and merchandise, and washing windows.
Maintain location safety and security by following Loss Prevention and Security policies and procedures.
Participate in inventory and complete case counts.
Maintain flexibility to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
