About The Position

PURIS is seeking a dedicated, team-oriented, safety-focused Jet Truck Vactor Operator for its industrial cleaning operations. The operator safely and efficiently removes waste materials, liquids, and sludge from client sites while following safety regulations and collaborating with the team to complete projects successfully.

The role includes operating and maintaining vacuum trucks and related equipment; handling, transporting, documenting, and disposing of waste in accordance with applicable regulations; following safety procedures and using required personal protective equipment; and coordinating with colleagues, supervisors, and project managers. The position may involve extreme work environments and confined spaces.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in the responsibilities of the position.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to be proactive and troubleshoot.
• Solid understanding of standard field pipe rehabilitation installation procedures.
• Ability to work in extreme environments and conditions, including confined spaces.
• Motivation and willingness to learn and advance.
• CDL Class A or B is preferred; the responsibilities include operating a CDL Class A or B vacuum truck.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maneuver a CDL Class A or B vacuum truck in accordance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Remove waste materials, liquids, sludge, and debris from tanks, pits, vessels, and other industrial structures.
• Use vacuum equipment, hoses, and attachments to complete cleaning tasks safely and effectively.
• Inspect and maintain vacuum trucks, perform basic maintenance, and promptly report repair or maintenance needs.
• Handle, transport, and dispose of waste in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Follow waste management protocols, including identifying and segregating hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Maintain accurate waste removal documentation, including manifests and disposal records.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines, use appropriate personal protective equipment, and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Participate in safety meetings and training, promote safety awareness, identify hazards, and report safety concerns and suggested improvements.
• Record and maintain job-specific documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and incident reports.
• Collaborate with team members to provide project report information about completed tasks, challenges, and recommendations.
• Coordinate with team members, supervisors, and project managers to support efficient workflow and successful project completion.
• Assist colleagues with tasks as needed and contribute to a collaborative, positive work environment.
