About The Position

Parabit Systems is seeking a Water Jet Operator to produce accurate, consistent parts in a timely and cost-effective manner while meeting quality standards. The role involves programming and operating a 55,000-pound CNC water jet machine from Jet Edged and supporting quantity production of identical units. The operator monitors equipment and product quality, maintains a safe and clean work environment, and works with manufacturing personnel to ensure consistent output. Candidates must pass a non-DOT drug screening, background check, and personal assessment before employment.

Requirements

Knowledge of machinery and/or tools.
Mechanical ability.
Ability to work with manufacturing personnel to maintain product quality and consistent output.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical work environment.
Ability to stand for periods up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
Ability to make repetitive movements, including sitting and squatting.
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
Basic ability to read programs using MS Windows applications and download files.
Fundamental understanding of M and G codes.
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

AutoCAD experience.

Responsibilities

Program and operate the CNC water jet machine for quantity production of identical units.
Start and stop the machine, load and feed materials, and monitor machine operation.
Monitor production quality and verify and inspect products and the machine.
Keep equipment operating properly and alert a supervisor when repairs are needed.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Work in a team environment and coordinate with manufacturing personnel to maintain product quality and consistent output.
Complete the proper transactions for each job.
Label materials with correct descriptions.
Ensure jobs and materials meet client specifications and quality expectations outlined on manufacturing orders.
Perform other general machine-operation tasks assigned by supervisors.
