About The Position

Parabit Systems, a company in the security and self-service equipment industries, is seeking a Water Jet Operator to provide accurate and consistent parts in a timely and cost-effective manner while meeting quality standards and expectations. The role involves operating and programming a CNC water jet machine for quantity production of identical units, monitoring production and product quality, and maintaining equipment and a safe, clean work environment. The operator also completes job transactions, labels materials, and ensures jobs and materials meet the specifications on manufacturing orders. Candidates must pass a NON-DOT drug screening, background check, and personal assessment before employment.

Requirements

Knowledge of machinery and/or tools.
Mechanical ability.
Ability to work with manufacturing personnel to maintain product quality and consistent output.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. in a physical environment.
Ability to stand for periods of up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
Ability to make repetitive movements, including sitting and squatting.
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
Basic program-reading skills using MS Windows applications, including downloading files.
Fundamental understanding of M and G codes.
Must be at least eighteen years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.
Must pass a NON-DOT drug screening, a background check, and a personal assessment prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Operate and program a 55,000 lbs. CNC water jet machine from Jet Edged for quantity production of identical units.
Start and stop the machine, load and feed it, and monitor its operation.
Monitor production quality and perform product and machine verifications and inspections.
Keep equipment operating at peak performance and alert a supervisor when repairs are needed.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Work in a team environment.
Complete the proper transactions for each job.
Label material with correct descriptions.
Meet or exceed client specifications listed on the manufacturing order.
Ensure jobs and materials are of good quality.
Perform other general machine operation tasks or responsibilities assigned by supervisors.
