About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Lead Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Microservices architecture. This role involves leading the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade insurance applications, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. You will also be responsible for mentoring team members, conducting code reviews, and driving best practices in a cloud-native environment on AWS.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software development.
  • Expertise in Core Java (Java 8/11+), Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and REST APIs.
  • Proficiency in frontend technologies including React, Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building distributed systems and scalable applications.
  • Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub, or GitLab.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and API Gateway.
  • Domain experience in P&C or Life Insurance systems.
  • Strong combination of hands-on coding, architecture, and team leadership skills.

  • Integration with insurance platforms such as Guidewire.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade insurance applications using Java full stack technologies, microservices architecture, and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Ensure scalability, security, and performance of applications.
  • Lead end-to-end full stack development using Java (Spring Boot) and UI frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Define and drive microservices-based architecture and API strategy.
  • Provide technical mentorship, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices.
  • Design and implement cloud-native applications on AWS using EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and RDS.
  • Build scalable RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices architectures.
  • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization.
  • Define solution architecture, integration patterns, and system workflows.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical planning.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Integrate with insurance platforms such as Guidewire.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Ensure code quality through testing, automation, and reviews.
