About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Java Full-Stack Engineer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution in Columbus, OH. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. The role supports a critical, high-volume customer-facing application used by phone bankers for customer and account maintenance. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a legacy technology environment, focusing on maintaining and enhancing existing applications while also delivering new, business-driven functionality. This position involves consulting on complex initiatives and resolving multifaceted software engineering challenges.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
• Strong experience in full stack Java development
• Experience with Java/Spring MVC development
• Proficiency in JSP and JavaScript UI development
• Experience with REST service integration
• Strong troubleshooting skills within existing applications

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Spring Boot or React.js
• Service-driven architecture experience
• Familiarity with MongoDB

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing applications to ensure reliability and stability
• Deliver business-driven initiatives and new functionality
• Support authentication-related enhancements and requirements
• Work on initiatives related to account management and customer authentication
• Contribute to both production support and new business initiatives
• Collaborate effectively with both U.S. and India-based team members
