About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Java Developer for a long-term contract position in Charlotte, NC. This role offers a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with over 8 years of professional Java development experience. Expertise in Java SE, multithreading, Spring Boot, NoSQL databases (especially MongoDB), event-driven architectures with Kafka, and Microservice architecture with RESTful API development is required. Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as Agile/Scrum methodologies, is also important. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills are essential for this role.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years of professional Java development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java SE and multithreading/concurrent programming.
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot and related frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB.
- Proven experience implementing event-driven architectures with Kafka.
- Solid understanding of Microservice architecture and RESTful API development.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
