About The Position

TekWissen is recruiting a Java Developer for an 11-month temporary onsite assignment in New York City, NY. The role supports a financial services program for a global professional services firm focused on digital transformation, business process management, analytics, and AI-driven solutions.

The developer will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), build and enhance microservices, and develop data-intensive solutions. The position also contributes to cloud modernization and platform transformation initiatives, collaborating with business, product, and engineering stakeholders.

Requirements

• Hands-on development expertise with Java 8, 11, or 17; the posting specifies 3+ years for various roles.
• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience with Docker and GitHub Actions (CI/CD).
• Experience with PostgreSQL or Azure SQL, BigQuery, and Python.
• Experience designing and developing scalable, cloud-native applications.
• Strong hands-on understanding of API design, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems.
• Financial services experience is mandatory.
• Hands-on coding and development experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale applications on GCP.

• Develop data-intensive solutions using PostgreSQL and BigQuery.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker.
• Collaborate with business, product, and engineering stakeholders within financial services programs.
• Support cloud modernization and platform transformation initiatives.
