About The Position

The Java Developer will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role builds and enhances microservices with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and Pub/Sub, and develops data-intensive solutions using PostgreSQL and BigQuery. The developer will implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and containerize and deploy applications using Docker. The role involves close collaboration with business, product, and engineering stakeholders on financial services programs and supporting cloud modernization and platform transformation initiatives. This is an 11-month temporary assignment based onsite in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on development expertise in the listed technologies (the posting specifies “3+ years (for various roles)”).
• Hands-on development experience with Java (versions 8, 11, or 17).
• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience with Docker and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or Azure SQL, BigQuery, and Python.
• Experience designing and developing scalable, cloud-native applications.
• Strong hands-on understanding of API design, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems.
• Financial Services experience is mandatory.
• Hands-on coding and development experience is required.
