About The Position

Skandit is a recruitment partner to Software & Cloud within Knightec Group, which is seeking a Java Developer for its team in Gothenburg. This consulting role is for an experienced Java developer interested in working where technology, people, and business intersect. The position offers opportunities to develop technically and as a consultant, share knowledge with colleagues, and work on interesting, long-term client engagements across industries including medtech, retail, finance, and automotive.

Assignments may be at client sites or in-house, with increasing investment in device-to-cloud projects. The technology stack varies by assignment and typically involves modern frameworks and tools. The role is based at the company’s Gothenburg office, with possible travel to clients in the Gothenburg region. The start date is as soon as possible or by agreement.

Requirements

• At least four years of experience in Java development.
• Experience with the Spring Framework or Spring Boot.
• At least a bachelor’s degree, for example in computer science or a related field.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Swedish and English.
• Comfort and confidence in the developer role, with an interest in learning and contributing experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud services.
• Experience in DevOps environments and CI/CD workflows.
• Previous experience as a consultant.

Responsibilities

• Design and further develop modern backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
• Work with container technologies and cloud services in AWS and/or Azure.
• Take responsibility for technical choices, architecture, and estimating development effort.
• Contribute to the team’s expertise through knowledge sharing and technical coaching.
• Work closely with client teams and contribute technical expertise.
