About The Position

This senior-level engineer will build the API and services layer for a greenfield FinOps platform. The role focuses on creating secure, scalable REST APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot, deploying applications in Kubernetes or OpenShift, and working in a development environment that emphasizes automation, testing, containerization, and CI/CD best practices. The position also integrates with Kafka-based event streams and helps establish development best practices for the team. It is a contract role based in Chandler, Arizona, with a hybrid workplace.

Requirements

• Must be able to work W2; sponsorship cannot be provided.
• Expert-level experience is indicated.
• REST APIs, microservices, Kubernetes, unit testing, and Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Build greenfield REST APIs and microservices.
• Develop secure, scalable services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Deploy applications in Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Implement automated unit and integration testing.
• Operate effectively within an established CI/CD environment.
• Integrate with Kafka-based event streams.
• Establish development best practices for the team.
