Java Developer IV
About The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to develop and maintain robust, scalable, high-performance applications that integrate Java-based backend systems with Angular-based frontends. The role calls for a proactive problem solver who works effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The developer will work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through coding, testing, and deployment. The role includes creating RESTful APIs, maintaining application reliability, contributing to code quality through reviews, and using AI prompts, skills, and MCP to accelerate development.
Requirements
- 8+ years working with Java (8 to 21) and Spring Framework/Spring Boot.
- 8+ years in web application development and web services, including REST APIs.
- 5+ years in messaging queues and caching, with related tools such as Kafka and Redis.
- 5+ years working with Angular 21.
- 8+ years working with relational databases such as Oracle.
- 5+ years using JUnit and Playwright.
- 1+ years using AI prompts, skills, or MCP.
- 5+ years working in Scrum teams.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Framework/Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, message queuing, and caching.
- Advanced skills in Angular 21, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience designing, creating, and documenting RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and OpenAPI.
- Practical knowledge of middleware platforms such as Apache Kafka, Redis, and Boomi.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and dynamic environment configuration.
- Experience developing wireframes and mock-ups to communicate design concepts with stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, iterative, and waterfall development methodologies.
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years working with Dell Boomi, Dynatrace, and Microsoft Azure DevOps.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java 8–21 backend applications with attention to performance and scalability.
- Write unit tests and measure code coverage using JUnit.
- Develop and maintain responsive Angular 21 user interfaces with a focus on usability and ADA/WCAG compliance.
- Write frontend unit tests using Playwright.
- Collaborate with business analysts and APM/QA engineers to gather and implement requirements.
- Create and maintain RESTful APIs that integrate frontend and backend systems, and document APIs using OpenAPI.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to support system reliability and robustness.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and Java and Angular best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to code quality and standards.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Use AI prompts, skills, and MCP to speed up development.
