About The Position

The Janitorial role is responsible for maintaining store cleanliness and providing friendly, courteous customer service. Candidates must be available between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., including weekends. The position offers 20–25 hours per week. Store-level training will be provided. The listed duties represent major responsibilities but are not an official job description; other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management.

Requirements

Must be available between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. and on weekends.
Must be able to bend and stoop.
Must be able to handle cleaning chemicals.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Must be able to work on their feet for the entire shift (4–8 hours).
Internal store or facility teammates: a minimum of six months of employment with Schnucks is preferred.
Internal Store Support Center teammates: a minimum of one year of employment with Schnucks is preferred.
Internal candidates must be in good standing, not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline.
Internal candidates invited to interview must have manager approval based on performance.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
Maintain floors by scrubbing with appropriate pads and chemicals, stripping, polishing, and re-glossing.
Operate scrub and buffing machines.
Empty trash inside and outside the store.
Clean windows, break rooms, restrooms, and the manager’s office.
Follow safety and sanitation procedures.
Prepare linens for laundry pick-up.
Change light bulbs.
Perform other duties assigned at the discretion of store management.
