About The Position

The Janitorial role is responsible for maintaining store cleanliness and providing friendly, courteous service to customers. Candidates must be available between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.; weekend availability is required to be considered. The role offers 20–25 hours per week. Training is provided at the store level.

Requirements

Must be available between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Weekend availability is required to be considered.
Must be able to bend and stoop.
Must be able to handle cleaning chemicals.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Must be able to work on feet for the entire shift, which is 4–8 hours.

Nice To Haves

For internal candidates, store or facility teammates are preferred to have at least six months of employment with Schnucks.
For internal candidates, Store Support Center teammates are preferred to have at least one year of employment with Schnucks.
Internal candidates must be in good standing, not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline.
Internal candidates invited to interview must have manager approval based on performance.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
Maintain floors by scrubbing with appropriate pads and chemicals, stripping, polishing, and re-glossing.
Operate scrub and buffing machines.
Empty trash inside and outside the store.
Clean windows, break rooms, restrooms, and the manager’s office.
Follow safety and sanitation procedures.
Prepare linens for laundry pickup.
Change light bulbs.
Perform other duties assigned at the discretion of store management.
