About The Position
The Produce Clerk provides friendly, courteous customer service and helps maintain the produce department. Duties include stocking, rotating, and straightening products; watering and icing products; washing, trimming, and wrapping produce; removing items that do not meet company quality standards; reading and understanding department signs; and following company safety and sanitation procedures. Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function, and store management may assign other duties. Training is provided at the store level. Candidates must be available between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. and on weekends to be considered. The role offers 24 or more hours per week.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older to apply.
- Must be available between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. and on weekends.
- Must be able to bend and stoop.
- Must be able to work in a cold, damp environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work on feet for the entire shift, which lasts 4–8 hours.
Nice To Haves
- For store or facility teammates: a minimum of six months of employment with Schnucks is preferred.
- For Store Support Center teammates: a minimum of one year of employment with Schnucks is preferred.
