About The Position

The Center Store Clerk provides friendly and courteous customer service while stocking, straightening, and rotating products in the Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods, and Grocery Departments. The role also processes incoming products from warehouse and direct store delivery vendors, maintains clean shelves and work areas, and follows company safety and productivity guidelines. Training is provided at the store level. Candidates must be available between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., including weekends. The role offers 25–30 hours per week.

Requirements

Must be available to work between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. and on weekends.
Able to stock 50 cases per hour.
Able to work in a cold environment ranging from -10 to 40 degrees.
Able to push a loaded two-wheeler averaging 100–120 pounds.
Able to pull a loaded pallet weighing up to 700 pounds.
Able to pull a loaded stock truck.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to remain on feet for the entire 4–8-hour shift.

Nice To Haves

For Store/Facility Teammates: a minimum of six months of employment with Schnucks is preferred.
For Store Support Center Teammates: a minimum of one year of employment with Schnucks is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Stock, straighten, and rotate products on shelves in Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods, and Grocery Departments.
Process incoming products from warehouse and direct store delivery vendors.
Read and understand shelf tags.
Sort damaged products for credit.
Operate a hand jack, power lift, and cardboard baler.
Follow company safety guidelines when using cutters, power lifts, and the baler.
Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler, and freezer.
Maintain company productivity standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by store management.
