About The Position

JANI-CORE LLC is hiring a motivated and dependable Janitorial Working Lead in Port Arthur, Texas. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines working alongside the cleaning crew with leading daily janitorial operations. The lead helps maintain clean, safe, and well-run facilities, ensures work meets quality standards, supports and trains team members, and communicates with management about staffing, scheduling, and facility concerns. Compensation is $13.00–$16.00 per hour.

Requirements

Prior janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience.
Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety protocols.
Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication and team leadership skills.
Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings or weekends if needed.

Previous supervisory or lead experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise janitorial staff during daily cleaning operations.
Perform hands-on cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing.
Ensure assigned areas meet quality and cleanliness standards.
Train and mentor team members on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
Communicate with management regarding staffing, scheduling, and facility concerns.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and job-site safety regulations.
