About The Position

GDI is hiring an hourly Janitorial Supervisor to oversee, train, and direct the on-site janitorial staff. The role is responsible for keeping employees safe and meeting or exceeding customer quality expectations, while also participating in daily cleaning tasks as needed. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

One year of janitorial supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise and train janitorial staff working in the building.
Assign shift and area work.
Address employee relations or performance issues promptly and appropriately, and document and report them to management or HR.
Regularly inspect the jobsite for quality concerns or project work needs.
Identify and communicate special project work needs to management.
Use floor-cleaning equipment as needed, including a buffer, walk-behind equipment, and a spot-carpet cleaner.
Respond promptly and appropriately to customer concerns or complaints.
Enforce safety policies and procedures, and immediately report and investigate accidents.
Complete required training courses.
Clean restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas; dust and remove trash.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum.
Perform advanced floor care as needed.
