About The Position

The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of agents who clean airport facilities and operate facility cleaning equipment. The role coordinates daily janitorial activities to support safe and effective operations, manages shift staffing and assignments, and trains and supports employees. The supervisor communicates operational issues to the Station Manager and ensures work is performed in accordance with company standards, policies, applicable laws, and safety requirements. The position requires rotating shifts and work in varying outdoor weather conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be able to obtain credentials required by airport, state, or customs requirements.

Nice To Haves

• One year of relevant work experience in the aviation or ground handling services industry.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of agents performing janitorial duties and coordinate daily activities to ensure safe and effective operations.
• Manage shift schedules, including work assignments, training, vacations, breaks, overtime assignments, coverage for absent employees, and shift rotations.
• Respond to employee issues or complaints in a timely manner.
• Communicate problems or issues to the Station Manager.
• Schedule and conduct shift meetings.
• Train, coach, counsel, and mentor employees in compliance with station policies.
• Monitor and enforce safe working conditions in accordance with regulatory requirements, company policies and safety procedures, and applicable laws.
• Promote and adhere to policies concerning safety, anti-harassment, and equal employment opportunity.
• Complete work safely and securely while following company safety and operational standards.
• Immediately report safety and security incidents and potential hazards in line with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill, experience, and capabilities expected for the position.
