About The Position
Diversified Maintenance is hiring a full-time Janitorial Supervisor to coordinate and assist employees with cleaning and maintaining commercial, industrial, and medical premises. This is a working-supervisor role that combines directing staff with performing related janitorial duties. The position pays $14 per hour, with weekly pay.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of three years of verifiable work history.
- At least two years of supervisory experience in the janitorial industry.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions effectively.
Nice To Haves
- Prior cleaning or janitorial experience.
- Familiarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standards.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing.
- Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Assign tasks to workers and inspect completed work for conformance to standards.
- Issue supplies and equipment.
- Resolve workers’ problems or refer matters to the Manager.
- Perform the duties of the workers supervised.
- Directly supervise the performance outcomes of 2 to 50 janitorial service employees.
- Assist in training employees.
- Plan, assign, and direct work.
- Provide feedback to managers to support effective employee performance appraisals.
- Address customer complaints and resolve problems.
- Collaborate with employees and perform related duties as a working supervisor.
