About The Position

The Janitorial Supervisor oversees and coordinates janitorial staff to ensure cleaning work is completed efficiently and meets Amazon’s cleanliness and safety standards. The role includes staff scheduling, training, performance management, supply inventory and ordering, quality inspections, responding to urgent cleaning requests, maintaining safety compliance, and communicating cleaning needs and improvement opportunities to facility management. The regular shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. EST. Open availability is required because weekend and overnight shifts will be needed periodically. The role involves physical activity and may include exposure to cleaning chemicals and warehouse conditions.

Requirements

Previous experience in janitorial supervision, facility maintenance, or a related field.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a large warehouse or distribution center environment.
Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

Maintain compliance with OSHA, health, and safety guidelines.
Communicate cleaning needs and improvement opportunities to facility management.
