About The Position

The Janitor completes daily cleaning and floor care, including lint blowdown and cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, breakrooms, and public-use areas. The role restocks supplies, cleans facility equipment according to established protocols, performs and records minor routine maintenance tasks as requested, and removes trash from the facility daily. The Janitor also completes heavy cleansing and deep-cleaning projects as assigned and records and reports inventory levels of supplies and cleaning items.

The position requires adherence to plant safety protocols, including company and OSHA standards, and maintaining a clean working environment. The Janitor works collaboratively to meet company goals and maintains an active presence throughout the plant during operating hours, cleaning areas as needed to limit after-hours cleaning requirements. This is a full-time, hourly overnight position, scheduled 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., at a facility operating seven days a week; weekends and holidays are required. The role reports to the Plant Manager/Director of Operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work independently to complete assigned tasks.
• Complete assigned tasks fully within the designated time frame.
• Clean and maintain assigned areas of the facility daily.
• Meet or exceed sanitation and disinfecting standards throughout all plant areas.
• Maintain an active presence throughout the plant during operating hours.
• Clean and maintain areas during operating hours to limit after-hours cleaning requirements.
• Complete daily cleaning and floor care, including lint blowdown.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and public-use areas.
• Restock needed supplies.
• Clean facility equipment according to established protocols.
• Perform and record minor routine maintenance tasks as requested.
• Clear and remove all trash from the facility daily.
• Complete heavy cleansing and deep-cleaning projects as assigned.
• Record and report inventory levels of supplies and cleaning items.
• Adhere to plant safety protocols, including company and OSHA standards.
• Maintain a clean working environment and work collaboratively to meet company goals.
• Maintain the company-wide DART accident rate at or below 2.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
