About The Position

The Overnight Janitor maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the academic buildings of an on-site campus location in Charleston, South Carolina. The role performs nightly cleaning and custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, removing trash, and sanitizing common areas, classrooms, and restrooms. The custodian ensures high-traffic campus spaces are clean and ready for students and faculty each morning and supports facility operations through careful, dependable night-shift cleaning. The position is full-time, Sunday through Thursday, from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. The worksite is on Wentworth Street. A background check is required, as is reliable transportation to the campus site.

Requirements

Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently during night hours.
Reliable transportation to the campus site.
Ability to pass a background check.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including bending and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk, including walking up to eight hours per day on city sidewalks.
