Janitor (Kukui Tower - 1245)
About The Position
EAH Housing is hiring a full-time Janitor to work at Kukui Tower, a 380-unit family affordable housing community in Honolulu, Hawaii. The property is a HUD and Tax Credit community. The Janitor/Groundskeeper maintains indoor and outdoor areas, conducts routine property checks to ensure the property is clean and well maintained, and assists the Maintenance Technician with repairs and common-area cleaning as needed. Candidates should have at least one year of related janitorial or grounds experience. Janitorial experience in an apartment community is preferred. The position requires light maintenance experience and basic computer skills for training. The salary range is $18.05–$25.65 per hour; the hiring range for new employees is generally $18.05–$21.85 per hour, depending on experience. Offers also consider the experience of the selected candidate and the current salary level of employees in similar roles at EAH. Requirements
- At least 1 year of related janitorial or grounds experience.
- Light maintenance experience.
- Basic computer skills for training.
- Satisfactory completion of EAH Housing’s criminal background check requirements; some roles may also require fingerprinting.
- Satisfactory completion of drug testing within 72 hours of accepting a conditional job offer.
- Education and employment history are subject to verification.

Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum common areas.
- Empty trash in common areas.
- Maintain all parking areas.
- Sweep and blow all landings, and power wash as needed.
- Conduct routine property checks to ensure indoor and outdoor areas are clean and well maintained.
- Assist the Maintenance Technician with repairs and common-area cleaning as needed.
